L'homme religieux

Born from a spark of curiosity, The Man with the Two Eyes blends imagination with fragments of reality. Inspired in part by my Jewish magician friends—men whose faith is both deep and luminous—this figure emerged unplanned, as if summoned from the canvas itself.

His face is split in two: one side with a human eye, the other with a white angelic eye, a symbol of the connection with God. The dark palette of reds and blacks speaks of passion and depth, while subtle blues and whites break through like moments of awakening, signifying clarity and divine light.

Though not my own spiritual path, this work is an observation of religious devotion—how it shapes the mind, the soul, and the presence of those who live it fully. It is a portrait of humanity in dialogue with the divine.
